It was in the afternoon, Fergus moved about his shop. The shop was a part of a rather large mansion owned by Fergus. Situated in the capital, he was placed centraly for busines. The house was rather new, with a lot of steam and clockwork driven mechanisms. The house was allways filled with this small rumbling sound. Fergus loved it, he tought the sound was relaxing. Most of his customers found the sound ekstremely annoying though. Couldn't help it though, such was the sound of a technologically new house. The facade of the house had been painted in different green, grey and yellow colors making the house stand out from the neighbouring grey, black or red ones. On the insides most of the walls where actually white. It was only a select rare few who saw the inside of the house and not just the shop part. Inside the shop where Fergus sat now the walls were painted in a light green color. The shop was filled with schematics and designs for guns, swords, bombs and other weapons. Above the door a bow hung, one of his many creations displayed about the room. Fergus sat at the table drawing on a schematic. Constantly erasing, redrawing, calculating and re calculating he worked. The house hummed as if it tried to help him in his work.

Meanwhile, not a mile away, a busy marketplace ebbed and flowed, full of buyers, sellers, pickpockets, scavengers, and the one lone pirate girl who was strolling along without much interest in what was going on around her. Her pale olive face and dark hair were shadowed by the large hood on her heavy coat, and the rest of her was buried in the thick dark cloth. Her hands and wrists were tucked deep into the wide pockets, one hand absentmindedly fingering a small blade that was a small security against petty thieves. Inez wasn't one who took money lightly, and though she was a thief herself... Ah well, the worlds kept spinning. A small smile crossed her face as she continued down the road.
Soon she was out of the crowds and walked more briskly as she strolled up the road. Eventually she came across a large mansion, colored rather brightly in comparison to the surrounding buildings. She paused briefly, peering out from her hood to examine the establishment. Then she looked forward again, and made her way up to the door, raising her free hand and giving a light rap to announce her presence.

A light knock sounded from the the front door. Fergus looked up for a moment. Was he expecting anyone? Wrinching his brain he couldn't come up with any name he expected. He could have forgotten though, for a few seconds he tried to find his calender until he realised someone still waited outside the door. Leaning back he pulled the lever which would open the door. Did new technology make one lazy, Fergus was an advocate for new technology. There existed people who didn't modern science he knew, maybe this was one of their points he did not even have to leave his chair to open the front door. As he pulled the lever the clicking sounds of machinery, and sounds of steampumps sounded and the door slowly opened. Revealing the stranger clad in dark clothing. Discerning who the person were, was made hard by the dark clothing. Fergus smiled nevertheless "Welcome Welcome to my workshop, might i imply as to your identity?" Fergus rose from his seat, his eyes locked on the stranger as he begun stacking the schematics and books which lay spread out across his desk

Inez took two steps forward, her dark leather boots making soft thuds on the floor as she crossed over the threshold. Slowly she released the knife in her pocket and drew both hands up to grip her hood and move it back. The thick fabric fell to her shoulders, revealing a cloud of dark, choppy hair that swirled around her pale cheeks. The olive tones of her skin were a pleasant contrast to dark glint of her eyes, which were settled calmly and coldly on Fergus.
"Who I am depends entirely on who you are," she said in a quiet, steely tone. A small smile flitted across her face, but it did not reach her eyes. She had learned the hard way, many times over, not to give anything away unless there was something offered in return.

cFergus slowly placed his hands on the table and leaned a little forward his eyes focussed on the woman in front of him. A thoughtfull slightly amused look covering his face. He smiled "Im sorry im just used to my visitors knowing who i am, i guess you its your first time here. And where are my manners, I own this house, and thus the workshop is mine. I am a weapon smith of sorts. My name is Fergus Alcairns, now who might you be and how can i be of service? a sly smile revealed Fergus' teeth "I should warn you though my services do not come cheap, they will be worth every single coin though, maybe depending on you worth even more" Fergus allways liked getting new customers, this could get interesting.

Inez blinked, expression staying carefully blank. "Right, then you are the one I was looking for," she said in a soft tone. She had heard rumors of a legendary weapon smith who had set up shop in these parts, and had come to see for herself if all the grand words said about him had been true.
"I have heard many things about you, Fergus Alcairns. Word of your excellent craftsmanship has spread far and wide. And also your willingness to serve any customer, no matter what life they lead..." She raised an eyebrow, hoping this part was true as well. It wasn't exactly as if many well known weapon smiths would just sell to any old pirate who walked through their doors, but then there were some who didn't ask questions, didn't give out names to guards or government officials, and she preferred this kind of business. Hopefully Fergus was the type to understand this.
"I am Inez Mrzyniej, and I have come to see if you can live up to your own legendary name," she said, voice a little louder now. Challenging. Inez gave a small smirk, and sat back in one hip, watching him. "I have a gun, an old one, but a good one. I'm not looking to replace it. It needs fixing, though, and it's a bit too complex for me to figure out myself. You think you can take a look for me?"

Fergus send her a sly smile, "Well first of all welcome Miss Inez, i am sure it will be a pleasure to do business for both of us. It do not really matter to me for what purpose you use your weapons as long as you are no raving lunatic killing everything around you. My guess is that since its important to you that i serve al kinds of customers you are either a criminal or gorvernment investigator. But no you do not have to tell me anything about your profesion, atleast not until you trust me a bit more" a small emphasis on pleasure. "Although a repairjob hardly can be catagorized as a challenge for my skills i shall certainly take a look at your weapon" He slowly began to walk around his desk "So how old is this gun of yours?, what seems to be the problem? and have you brought it along with you now here or have you just come here to check whether im willing to help you?" He had stopped again in front of the desk and he was now leaning against it. Although Fergus didn't find repairing an old gun interesting he wouldn't turn away a potential longterm customer, and who new although it was unlikely it could be some kind of model he hadn't seen before

Inez smirked a little. "It's rather ancient, I found it in some old ruins and my mechanic managed to get it working the first time. But it seems to be getting a bit worn, as old things do, and I find that I can't reply on it as much as I used to." She reached in the recesses of her cloak and revealed a beautiful, complex gun. Inez herself did not know this, but the gun had quite a history. It had been custom made for a member of the royal family of one of the ancient races, and had been wielded through many a historic war.
"Not sure what exactly it is, I've never seen any other gun like it, but it's a beautiful weapon, wouldn't you agree?" she said, gently laying the gun on the table in front of Fergus. "It's rarely lost me a fight. That is, until recently, when it started firing all sluggish and twisty. But hopefully you'll fix that."

As soon as Fergus saw the ancient gun his interest had been awoken "Remarkable" he spoke as he carefully took the gun in his hands and began examining it. "This weapon is of remarkable quality and materials, never seen its like before. I mean the whole mechanism within it. Its weight, its an fantastik weapon" Fergus had the look in his eye of a child which had just opened its christmas gift, and his way of speaking clearly displayed interest and excitement towards this weapon. "There is this small dent here in the Barrel, but i will probably need to disasemble the gun to check for problems with the mechanical parts of the gun" He placed the gun on the table again "If you would indulge me, it would probably be a good idea if i could see you fire the gun a couple of times" Fergus had turned towards Inez with a raised eyebrow.

Inez raised a brow at his praise of the gun, but made no return comment. She knew all the things he said were true, but she wasn't one to brag. She loved the gun, and she knew it had saved her life on more than one occasion. That was all that really mattered to her. Inez shrugged. "Alright, sure. Just tell me where to aim." She picked up the gun again, it's weight familiar and comforting in her hand. The pirate captain smiled a little. This gun was like an old friend to her. She squeezed a little, and then looked up to Fergus, waiting for further directions.

After looking a little at Inez he spoke "I don't know how paranoid you are. But i have a shooting range in my cellar which i propose that we use" He walked towards one of the doors leading from the room gesturingen for her to follow him "What i would like to see is exactly how far from the target it hits, and whether it lacks some punch. You now whether the fiering mechanism is rusty, or not as good as its supposed to be. Its best to test weapons in a room made for it, in my opinion. Well unless the weapon should be stable and good enough to use in live fire battles but that is neither needed nor the case now so that is irrelevant i guess" he smiled at her

Inez watched him, blinked, and gave a short nod of her head. Her black locks tumbled around her cheeks, and her cold eyes gazed up between the strands, focusing on Fergus, careful and cautious. "Alright," she said again. "That sounds logical." She held tight to her gun as he lead the way through the door, gently rubbing the trigger as she passed through the door frame. She was indeed a bit paranoid, but one had to be to survive in this world, especially with the sort of profession she had chosen.

Fergus smiled as he led her into a quite large room in his basement, along the far end different kinds of target practices had been lined up Aligned along the same wall as the door from which the entered several work benches stood. They were all overstrewn with schematics, parts and testing stage weapons of various kinds. As Fergus entered the room he turned on an electric lamp in the ceiling illuminating the room in a sharp bright light. He streched out his hand well lets get started shall we. He pointed to several markers on the floor. "If you please stand on the one farthest from the target practice where you under normal curcumstances would be able to hit bulls eye nearly everytime" He looked to her with a look saying that he estimated her to be a good shot
