Name/Alias: Councillor Tarquin Ny’yerees
Age: 55
Gender: Male
Occupation:Council member
Appearance:
As a hybrid of Q’sik and Human origin, Tarquin displays traits form both species. Q’sik naturally has the dominant genome, and as a result, Tarquin looks more Q’sik than anything. He skin is a deep purple colour, with pale human skin patches of skin in places. His head-tails are shorter than the average Q’sik’s and are less sensitive. Likewise, the rows of skin across the back of his head are also smaller. Tarquin has the eyes of a human, but the stare of a Q’sik
He has a fierce, hateful look about him, thinking most, if not all, are below him. He often has a glare about him and nothing about his facial features is soft. He is however, like most Q’siks, he is quite handsome. He is often described by humans to be “tall dark and handsome”. He will always be dressed in a black uniform.
Personality:
A thoroughly ruthless individual, who will literally walk over anyone who gets in his way. “The ends justify the means” is something he has taken to heart, and will stop at nothing to accomplish his goals. He will charm, deceit, lie and cheat his way to get what he wants. He is a unique member of his dominant race (Q’Sik), showing little compassion to his race, which are forced into submission. Empathy, love and gentleness are all things Tarquin doesn’t have time for.
Tarquin is a very, very vain man, and likes to use his looks to corrupt or seduce or even charm his ‘victims’. He has no scars on his body, and has never been in direct combat, he prefers to stay out of such things. This causes him to need highly qualified bodyguards, most of whom are corrupt. He is a scheming, almost evil being, who trusts no one. Tarquin considers himself educated and cultured, although he has little care for the meaningful side of things, only the facts.
Background:
As a hybrid, Tarquin was born to be scum. He was at the bottom of society’s foodchain. He spent twenty long years at the mercy of everyone, including the Q’siks, and he soon decided enough was enough. He decided to take charge of his life by any means necessary.
Being born on Patria, Tarquin had to learn to deceive, and made a living by sitting in the business district, charming money out of young, bored businessmen. On those streets, Tarquin mercilessly ruined many a man’s life, taking his money for himself, and paid for his education. Tarquin then began to charm his way into the lives of the other students and into their circles. He targeted the sons of diplomats and those in power. Those he didn’t like he ruined, and seduced his way into the bed of a diplomat, making sure to take plenty of pictures, Tarquin got his target fired and then imprisoned. Tarquin graduated shortly afterwards and aimed directly at the now open position, even if it was low. Tarquin used the promise of Q’sik and hybrid rights.
Tarquin abused his position, but kept it a secret, in order to gain ranks within the government. Whether this was the council’s blindness, or whether Tarquin was just that skilled was a mystery. Tarquin would settle in a position overlooking operations above the planet of Vetusolum. He was happy with his life for a time, having a staff made up of Q’siks. It was a small role, and after a few years Tarquin wanted more. He wanted to be part of the council itself. Over the next few years he did good things for the government, gathering favour with many government officials. Rumour is that he even slept with most of them, regardless of age or sex.
It paid off when Tarquin turned forty-four. Tarquin was elected into a council position, and ended up being placed to oversee the secret projects, the more questionable directives, and to deal with the treats against the government. This was to make a scape-goat of Tarquin, however no one expected him to be good at his job. In fact, Tarquin was so good with his job that he still remains in his position today.
Kin/Companions: None – All were left behind as he rose up the class system.
